Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst in the construction and contracting industry. Located in White Bear Township, Minnesota, this role will involve analyzing and strategizing to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy within the company. Responsibilities: • Manage and analyze material, labor and overhead costs, striving to reduce variances and improve profitability. • Oversee the implementation of costs on new part numbers and execute procedures for updating costs company-wide. • Review changes in material costs for accuracy, and report changes in inventory to company management. • Regularly review inventory for obsolete parts and ensure accurate reserve amounts are maintained. • Collaborate with the Production team on scrap amounts and proper disposal/return to vendor policies. • Supervise the cycle count program to ensure accuracy in inventory quantities. • Prepare for external audits through the analysis of costs and development of internal schedules. • Participate in system changes and enhancements to improve the EDP environment. • Carry out other assigned duties that contribute to the overall financial management of the company. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Construction/Contractor industry. • Proficiency in using SAP for various financial operations. • Solid understanding and experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting. • Knowledge and experience in setting and analyzing Overhead Rates. • Ability to analyze variance and Cost Variance. • Experience in analyzing Financial Statements. • Familiarity with the entire Accounting cycle. • Experience in Cycle Count and ability to perform Cycle Count. • Experience in managing Annual Inventory and conducting Inventory Analysis. • Ability to prepare for audits (Audit Prep). • Experience in performing Month End Close activities.
