Role/Purpose:The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for providing key support for the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly financial reporting, analysis and controls as well as playing a key role in analyzing, reporting, correcting and communicating variances, cost fluctuations, and inventory balances. This position will support the Finance Management Team in driving improvements across the organization by providing analysis for the decision-making process and deriving actions. Additionally, this position will lead a variety of local initiatives to drive improvements in the overall business performance by providing detailed analysis to the key management stakeholders and coordinating cross-departmental improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Focuses on analyzing results and partnering w/ PIUS-MO staff leadershipCorrelates data across various reports and systems to find trends, forward looking indicators, and root causesConducts analysis both at the micro and macro levelsProvides key support in monthly management reportingProvides key support for the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly and annual closing and the related financial reporting such as journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliationsProvides key support of management reporting and analysis including but not limited to sales, margins/costs, expenses, sales forecasts, and balance sheet trends and assists explaining/documenting key fluctuations vs. prior year, budget, and forecastSupporting the compilation and development of financial reporting and analysisResponsible for building accurate reporting of inventory and cost of goods sold in acordance with U.S. GAAPLiaise and collaborate with stakeholders at different levels across the organization Significant active participation in the financial planning and budgeting processesSupport strategic initiates as a key contributor from the definition to project managementOther duties or tasks as assigned
What You Need to SucceedRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExcellent computer skills: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Hyperion, ERP SystemExcellent organizational skills and analytical abilityExcellent oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organizationMust be detail oriented and accurate with data and reporting while maintaining confidentiality where necessaryBuilds trust, able to engage in a productive conflict, committed, self-accountable, and able to drive collectives resultsFlexible, humble, self-motivated, diligent, demonstrates common sense about people, and able to prioritizeMinimum Education / Experience Required:BS/BA in Accounting / Finance (CPA and/or MBA preferred)Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting / financial analysisSAP experience (required minimum 3 years at recent job) / BI experience (preferred)
