This is a Salaried position. Overview This position would offer the option to work remote in the greater Peoria, Illinois and outlying regions. Incumbent would need to be available and flexible to travel to other OSF sites if needed. POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Financial Analyst supports entity capital planning, forecasting, and operational performance improvement opportunities through the continuous development, facilitation, and performance of financial and operational analyses. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY: Support entity financial planning and forecasting, capital planning, and resource allocation processes with respect to finances, process improvement, opportunities for cost reduction, and opportunities for growth. Interact, provide guidance, and present clear financial information to the organization’s management and senior leaders in a professional, confident, and knowledgeable manner. Perform and provide guidance regarding financial analysis and performance tracking and analysis for entity, ministry-wide and/or regional initiatives and issues. Provide subject matter expertise in one or more areas of financial analysis such as: benchmarking, business case development, clinical financial analytics, performance improvement, and productivity. Facilitate regular interactions with business partnering to drive best practice sharing. Develop and deliver training and education of business partnering and financial analysis throughout OSF HealthCare System. Guide the continuous development and ensure the use of consistent financial analysis tools, templates and methodologies, including collaboration in order to drive optimization of tools and templates. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree Experience: 5 years of work experience in finance, accounting, or revenue cycle Experience with database and decision support systems Other skills/knowledge: Demonstrated advanced computer skills with strong knowledge of spreadsheet programs such as Excel. Demonstrated strong analytical skills to gather, manipulate and interpret large amounts of data and transform into useable information to address operational and system related problems. Demonstrated ability to perform under changing circumstances and deadlines; strong attention to detail with the ability to learn quickly; and strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to command respect and confidence with professional peers. Understanding of the healthcare industry, trends, issues, risks, etc. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field Experience: Experience with finance in an integrated healthcare environment Licensure/Certifications: CPA, CMA, MBA, CHFP OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
