This role is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. The position is a key member of the Finance team and reports directly to the Director of Finance. This highly visible role has significant interaction with operations, finance, accounting, revenue cycle, and clinical teams. Cross-functional collaboration, critical thinking, strong interpersonal skills, intermediate to advanced excel expertise, and written and verbal communication skills are needed. **The value you’ll bring to the team:** The primary responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst are: · Developing a thorough understanding of individual payor contracts · Leading the budgeting and forecasting process · Performing monthly due diligence and written analyses of actual performance vs. budgets and forecasts · Supporting multiple departments in the development of long-term strategic plans · Developing presentations for senior management · Working collaboratively across the organization to find opportunities for using data to provide meaningful analytics to drive business solutions and support key operational and strategic initiatives · Developing and reporting on key performance indicators to allow for the measurement of financial and non-financial performance drivers · Building financial/business performance models and conducting market analyses · Preparing and analyzing monthly operating reviews in conjunction with the accounting team · Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports · Assisting project teams with financial guidance · Assisting with due diligence for acquisitions and/or dispositions · Performing research and analysis as required Qualifications **The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:** · Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, etc.) Required · Master's Degree in a business-related field (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, etc.) Preferred · 2 in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, management consulting, public accounting, or related field Required · Critical thinking skills · Natural ability to think strategically and implement tactically · Ability to work effectively in a matrix-managed environment to achieve organizational goals · Strong understanding of finance and accounting · Superior interpretive analytics and problem-solving skills · Superior oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms · Positive attitude, team player with strong interpersonal skills and flexible approach · Knowledge of healthcare industry, business unit needs, and finance · Highly analytical, detail oriented, and organized · Strong desire to learn and continuously improve · Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel · Experience working in databases (SQL, access) and manipulating large data sets.
