Drive Financial Success with your Expertise!As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in providing financial and analytical support for the monthly close process, ensuring accurate reporting for corporate departments, including Payroll and Supply Chain. You will also support planning, forecasting, and monthly sales tax filings, helping drive informed decision-making and ensuring strong financial controls. Led by the Assistant Controller, this opportunity suits a collaborative professional with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Here’s how: Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for wages, accounts receivable, accrued liabilities, revenues, expenses, and other accounts as needed.Collaborate and partner with corporate department stakeholders to provide financial analysis, budgeting support, and insightful reporting that drives decision-making.Assist in the preparation and filing of provincial sales tax remittances, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Monitor and apply accounting policies and financial controls to support accurate reporting and guide financial decisions.Identify, assess, and communicate risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, recommending process enhancements that strengthen financial performance and compliance.Support audit and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting standards.Support with ad hoc financial projects and analysis as assigned by the management team. We’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting. CPA designation (or in progress) is preferred.A minimum of three to five years’ experience in accounting, financial reporting, or analysis, preferably in a corporate environment. Retail accounting experience is an asset.Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and analysis.Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including exceptional skills with Excel and other analytical tools. Knowledge of Oracle or related large ERP system an asset.Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present financial findings to various stakeholders and impact business decisions.High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to confidentiality.Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.Strong organizational and time-management skills, ensuring timely and efficient financial operations.The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.How we’ll make you feel at HomeOur Team Members enjoy life at Home with our strong culture of support and inclusion, excellent benefits, and a team that always has your back.
