Job location: Hybrid (Ewing, NJ / Home Office)

Role Summary                                                         

Responsible for the forecast, planning, and business analysis of multiple brand P&Ls.  This includes the reporting, variance analysis, financial guidance to brand teams by providing financial insights and facilitating key decisions related to revenue, profitability and return on investments.  Is considered a financial brand expert to cross-functional partners

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities                                                 

Responsible for preparation and reporting of multiple brand P&Ls on a monthly/quarter/LRP basis including all forecast/actual variance analysis.  Functioning as controller for multiple brands.

Materially and directly impacts SBU profitability based on quality of analysis.

Develop analysis for revenue and profit variances (volume/price/mix) to report on financial insights of causal factors

Independently draw conclusions from complex data and help make insightful financial decisions and recommendations with minimal guidance/input from management.

Lead in the preparation/analysis of brand profitability of new product development, business analysis, cost savings, and marketing program investments

Key finance contact for brand group and functional groups on brands’/category profitability and analysis interfacing regularly with Brand Marketing, New Product Innovation, Sales Finance, Supply Chain Operational leads, Plant controllers, R&D, Accounting at all levels in the organization.

Education and Experience                                                         

Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or related field, MBA is +

Minimum of 4 to 7 years of FP&A experience, preferably in CPG company

Skills and Competencies

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel), financials systems (Oracle, SAP) preferred

Ability to work with complex concepts, analyze data, draw conclusions, make recommendations while using judgment, experience and increasing industry knowledge

Independent thinker who takes initiative and makes recommendations/insights based on analysis and increasing industry experience

High level of independence and ability to make impactful decision with little to no supervision
