Overview The Senior Financial Analyst will work as part of Gallagher’s Global Data Analytics team and be responsible for designing reports, delivering information, and analyzing data to assist leaders in formulating strategic plans and managing operations. He/she will partner with corporate and divisional teams to evaluate new and current data attributes, complete detailed analyses around key metrics, and build enhanced reporting capabilities. How you'll make an impact Deliver accurate and timely reporting and address follow-up questions quickly Analyze data from global data warehouse and research new elements to help evaluate performance Utilize current reporting and create new solutions to identify trends and aid in analysis. Research underlying factors impacting the results and communicate factual explanations to management. Where possible, perform external research and benchmark results against economic, industry, and competitor trends Perform variance analysis to explain deviations from budgeted or forecasted financial results Lead discussions regarding findings and conclusions from your analysis, using fact-based and forward-looking analysis to influence action Develop relationships with management to gain a deep understanding of the business and identify opportunities to positively impact results; collaborate with colleagues at various levels and different functional areas Partner with onshore and offshore IT resources to automate reporting where possible and build new tools and solutions About You Required: Bachelor or Master’s degree in a financial or mathematical field (Finance, Math, Actuarial, Data Science, Economics). Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the insurance, insurance brokerage or financial services industry Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and technical capabilities to manipulate and interpret large amounts of information Advanced Excel skills Ability to construct visual representations of large data sets Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and accuracy Strong oral and written communication skills, including an ability to simplify technical concepts and analysis for non-technical audiences Preferred: Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik Experience with big data analysis tools, including PowerPivot and SQL Familiarity with data platforms and applications such as Snowflake, Alteryx #LI-TG2 Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
