The Team:

Enterprise Capital Management is a global team of more than 100 professionals responsible for the efficient and prudent management of the Corporation's as well as its subsidiaries' capital across the enterprise globally. The team implements the Board’s capital management strategy including issuance, redemption or repurchase of common stock and other capital instruments. ECM works closely with lines of business and guides them to manage the enterprise’s capital including design and implementation of capital allocation methodologies efficiently and proactively.

The team also recommends capital related financial resource limits to senior management. In addition, they produce and monitor regulatory and internal economic capital metrics including capital adequacy ratios, leverage exposure and risk-weighted assets and oversees the end-to-end capital measurement process across the enterprise. Partnering with other control functions, ECM manages external disclosures related to capital management including 10Q, 10K, Pillar 3 disclosures and other regulatory filings‎ and interfaces with banking regulators globally on all capital related matters.

Role Description:

The candidate will join the Enterprise Capital Management International team with a focus on providing subject matter expertise on both externally driven prudential regulations and internal capital management initiatives, primarily for the BAC entities and branches in the UK and EU. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and skilled individual to join an established capital management team with an opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment, requiring the ability to continuously learn and adapt, and develop proactive working relationships across all ranks and functions. The candidate will focus on the following:

Responsibilities:

Prepare capital, RWA and leverage forecasts under multiple scenarios for inclusion in key foundational documents such as ICAAP, Recovery Plans and Strategic Plans for EU entities

Perform quarterly refreshes of capital, RWA and leverage forecasts including preparation of governance materials and MIS reports

Contribute to RWA and capital forecasts for EU-wide stress testing

Update model documentation and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures

Support the development of capital forecasting models in line with prudential regulatory requirements including credit and counterparty risk, market risk, operational risk and capital numerator concepts

Draft ICAAP documentation ensuring consideration of relevant EU regulatory requirements and guidance

Partner closely with the business lines, Risk and CFO teams to support enterprise capital management objectives and/or legal entity strategy

Participate in capital management activities including initiatives which optimise capital ratios and international regulatory strategy

Help drive process improvements and contribute to culture of Operational Excellence

What we are looking for:

Education and knowledge:

Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or a related discipline. A postgraduate or professional qualification (e.g. CFA or ACA) would be an advantage

Experience working in supervision or in a regulated credit institution, including practical application of European prudential rules and upcoming regulatory changes

Familiarity with ECB/SRB supervisory approaches and an understanding of EBA stress testing would be beneficial

Skills and competencies:

Ability to analyse complex financial data, translate assumptions into RWA and capital impacts and produce executive-level summaries and reports

Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and complex projects

Capability to escalate issues in a timely manner and track status to ensure adequate resolution

Detail-oriented, control focused and proactive in every approach

Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment

Ability to be flexible and adapt to new priorities

Adapting behaviour to build relationships with a wide range of people at different levels

Monitoring progress against objectives/deliverables and responding to unforeseen events

Enthusiastic self-starter who is comfortable to investigate and research new concepts

Comfortable working will large data sets. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel or other data/statistical packages

Confident communication skills
