Senior Financial Analyst - Disability Claims

You are

An experienced financial professional who has an internal drive to evaluate complex financial issues using your critical thinking skills and can manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines. You are passionate about growing your career and confident sharing ideas to continually improve both yourself and move the organization into the future.

You will

Work closely with Claims Examiners and Managers to support the analysis of disability claims with a financial component.Conduct complex routine and non-routine analysis of business and personal tax returns and financial statements associated with disability claims.Collaborate with internal customers including claims examiners and managers to provide accurate and reliable financial assessments for decision-making purposes.Perform forensic analyses of large data sets and demonstrate the ability to communicate and present your findings to different audiences.Prepare detailed reports and summaries of financial findings, presenting them in a clear and concise manner as part of the claims’ decision-making process.Develop and maintain financial models, tools, and databases to enhance analysis and reporting capabilities.Train non-financial staff on key financial concepts related to disability claim analysis.

You have 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation, finance, or related education.Strong knowledge of Federal Tax Laws.Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook  Preferred - 5+ years of relevant experience in forensic accounting, tax return preparation and financial analysis.Preferred - CPA license or CFE certification, or eligible.

Location    

Hybrid: 3 days WFH and 2 days in office at any Guardian office location in Pittsfield (MA), Bethlehem (PA), Holmdel (NJ), or NYC

Salary Range$79,350.00 - $130,365.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
