The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Enterprise Expense reporting team, rolling up under Claims and Centralized Services FP&A, and supports the overall expense team’s needs for standard reporting, allocation updates and workforce planning by maintaining accurate data/tools and driving process improvements.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in the Hartford, CT office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain exhibits to support managed and allocated expense reporting at both the business/function and enterprise levels on an actual and outlook basisReview and consolidate business/function specific analysis to develop enterprise level analysis and forward-looking commentary for monthly and quarterly ELT expense packagesPartner with direct teammates to manage the Allocation Method Repository (AMR) and Workforce Planning applications within TM1, associated tools and training for end usersCollaborate with TM1 developers and business partners in Finance to ensure the adequacy of data quality controls around expense reporting, forecasting and analysis, manage access and change management approvals, and development/enhancement of new data controlsAssess the claim volume uploading process and refine an automated approach within TM1Drive automation and process efficiencies with a focus on continuous improvementProvide support to customers with data-related inquiries, leveraging excellent communication skills to ensure clear and satisfactory resolutionsDevelop strong working relationships throughout Enterprise Expense and the broader Finance organization; be a valuable thought partner in supporting the company’s strategy and objectivesQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field3+ years of financial or accounting experienceExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate financial results to all levels of management in a professional mannerStrong organization, analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven and multi-tasking environmentWillingness to challenge the status quo with ongoing commitment to identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiencies and enhanced analyticsHighly motivated and inquisitive with a strong sense of accountabilityProficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.) & PowerPointTM1 and Tableau experience is a plusCompensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
