Job Description
The job holder has a dual reporting structure, reporting hierarchically to the company's General Manager and functionally to the Veolia Taiwan CFO. The primary responsibilities revolve around overseeing the company's financial operations. This includes ensuring accurate financial records, managing financial reporting processes like budgeting, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. The role also encompasses budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and validate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and in compliance with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS).
Prepare management reports, including variance analysis, key financial metrics, and actionable insights for senior leadership.
Ensure the financial statements reflect the true financial position of the company and are in line with regulatory requirements.
Forecasting:
Prepare the various forecasts (including the yearly budget), collaborating with department heads to set financial goals and track performance against budget.
Update the long-term financial forecast via a financial model
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard the company’s assets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and prevent fraud.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and other regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and manage the external audit process, working with auditors to ensure timely and successful completion.
Conduct the yearly internal control campaign.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring that the business has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations.
Develop and implement strategies for cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and capital allocation.
Manage the company’s credit facilities.
Financial Strategy and Analysis:
Analyze the financial performance at monthly closing. Identify opportunities for cost optimization or revenue enhancement.
Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting systems, and data accuracy.
System and Process Improvement:
Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
Recommend and implement best practices for financial control and reporting.
Others:
Provide analysis for clients, and review financial aspects of commercial contracts when needed.

QualificationsDegree in Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred).;
5-8 years of experience in financial management, accounting. Experiences in a Big 4 audit firm and/or as an FP & A analyst in a corporation are preferred.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS), tax laws, and financial regulations; solid command of financial statements and financial analysis concepts.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and proficiency in information system of accounting software (e.g. SAP). Able to master Google tools is a plus.
Detailed-oriented and excellent analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills, able to communicate with different level
Proficient in English (Speaking & Writing) and Chinese. Toeic 800+ is preferred.

Additional InformationThe selected candidate will work in close contact with the Veolia Taiwan Finance Team based in Taipei (Zhongshan District). He/she will visit their office on a regular basis.
