Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together. Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) brings together American Express' merchant-and network-related businesses. GMNS manages the relationships with the millions of merchants around the world that accept American Express. It serves as an acquirer, processor and marketing partner for merchants of all sizes, including small, regional and global businesses. This position will be responsible for P&L Management as well as support related to GMNS Investments. P&L Management plays a key role in driving the short-term and long-term financial performance of this critical part of the company, supporting the President and CFO of GMNS. The position will assist in various ad hoc and ongoing analysis related to the overall GMNS P&L, including developing presentations and supporting monthly forecasts, the annual Plan, and the Long-Range Plan. The role interfaces with GMNS LFO teams, FP&A, and business teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to gain deep knowledge of the Merchant & Network Services business, as well as exposure to and insight from senior leadership. **Key responsibilities** + Partner with FP&A team for P&L Management activities and support GMNS presentation materials for quarterly AXP Executive Committee meeting and Business Unit Reviews with CFO + Assist in creating the Long-Range Plan and Annual Plan P&L Reviews with the Executive Committee Working Group along with the President and CFO for the business + Partner with GMNS LFO and FP&A teams to provide FTE & OPEX management analysis + Provide LFO support for the GMNS Pricing organization + Own the GMNS Cross-Border economics analysis + Assist in creating Board of Director and Investor materials + Leverage analytical data to complement P&L projections and results, improving our understanding of key drivers or risks and opportunities in the portfolio + Elevate content and analytical topics to complement P&L storyline and deliver new insights to leadership + Continuously optimize, streamline, and prioritize processes to free up capacity and drive value. **Minimum Qualifications** + 1-2 years of experience in Finance. + Communication: Superior ability to communicate with and influence at all levels of the organization. Capable of translating complex information into digestible takeaways. + Relationship building: Ability to build strong working relationships to maximize collaboration, problem solving and generate solutions to deliver results. + Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong aptitude for analytics. Demonstrated ability to develop financial models and draw value-add insights from large amounts of financial data. Solid ability to adopt a broad perspective and link business strategies to specific initiatives. Knowledge of coding/SQL/Lumi an advantage, willingness to learn required. + Results Driven: Ability to work under pressure, navigate through ambiguity and balance multiple priorities. + Strong work ethic: Demonstrated will-to-win and personal excellence. + Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with coding **Qualifications** Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
