Senior Financial Analyst - Legal Entity Reporting

Pay Rate: $90 Location: Calgary AB Job Type: Contract Our client, in energy sector is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst for the Legal Entity Reporting team for an initial 12-month contract in Calgary, AB.
Responsibilities Include: Facilitate the compilation and accurate creation of various financial statements and note disclosures for Canadian and US legal entities, adhering to IFRS standards for regulatory compliance and governance. Collaborate closely with Business Units and the Tax team to aid in the preparation of legal entity financial statements. Assist in the review and audit engagements of legal entity statements conducted by the company's external auditors when necessary. Introduce efficiencies and explore avenues for process enhancement, including transitioning legal entity financial statements to Workiva. Work alongside Accounting Research to promptly address reporting and disclosure issues, including updates to IFRS regulations. Support in the preparation and examination of tax step memos as needed. Undertake additional reporting responsibilities and participate in projects as requested.
Qualifications: A CPA Designation is mandatory. Possession of a Bachelor's degree from a University, preferably in Accounting, Business, or Finance, is essential. Exceptional proficiency in business writing and verbal communication is required. At least 8 years of progressive experience post-CPA designation in an accounting/finance field is necessary. Profound familiarity with IFRS requirements is vital. Thorough comprehension of the oil and gas industry is essential.
