What will you do?

Under the authority of the Finance manager, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for various budget forecasts within the Drummondville plant. Ready to take on challenges and motivated by change, the candidate will play a key role in analyzing cost requests with a view to making sound financial decisions.

Prepare the annual budget and the various periodic forecasts; Conduct an annual review of labor costs and overhead; Perform annual updates to standard costs; Provide coaching to junior financial analysts. Review labour costs and overhead expenses on an annual basis; Update annual cost standards; Review forecasts in accordance with likely changes on a quarterly basis; Perform various end-of-month tasks (expense analysis, account analysis, journal entry, internal financial report by profit centers, etc.); Perform unsolicited cost analyses; Analyze the balance sheet accounts; Implication in follow up inventory transactions; Active participation in annual physical inventory (July); Support with all internal and external auditor; Perform other related analysis  

This position required to work in person at our Drummondville Plant.

 

What will you need to succeed?

Bachelor’s degree in accounting CPA designation Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution setting Strong experience with production costs (cost of goods sold COGS) and inventory management Experience on audit in a manufacturing environment, a strong asset Knowledge of SAP an asset Excellent knowledge of Excel software Knowledge of digitalization software (Tableau, Knime, Power BI & query), as asset Very good knowledge of French and English, both written and spoken to interact with local colleague and across North America. Good priority management skills and thoroughness Attention to detail
