US Consumer Services Group (USCS) is responsible for growing the American Express consumer business, strengthening our leadership position in the premium space, and delivering exceptional, differentiated customer experiences. USCS comprises local sales and marketing, travel and lifestyle services, and consumer products including lending, cobrands, and premium products and benefits.
The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the US Consumer Services Financial Planning & Analysis team within Corporate Planning & Analysis (CP&A) and will help drive the financial planning, reporting, and results analysis activities for the US Consumer segment. The analyst will play a critical role partnering with the US Consumer Business and Finance organization to provide comprehensive financial insights and a clear trajectory of the overall business momentum to leadership.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to work with the leadership team, gain deeper understanding of the US Consumer business and build key business relationships.
**How will you make an impact in this role?**
+ This role focuses on the planning, analysis, and reporting for the US Consumer business.
+ Own, maintain and improve detailed financial models for forecasting and results tracking.
+ Act as point of contact and advisor for business partners, analyzing trends and delivering key insights to leadership to ensure the US Consumer organization meets its goals.
+ Perform ad hoc analytics on critical focus areas for leadership and support the implementation of strategic initiatives and changes impacting AXP results.
+ Identify opportunities for increased automation, efficiencies and enhanced controls.
+ This position requires a highly motivated individual with ability to drive results and work with ambiguity, with a pro-active “can-do” attitude.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 2 years of experience in Finance.
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
+ Adept at interpreting financial information to derive business insights.
+ Ability to synthesize complex data into an easy-to-understand message.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands, driving results within critical deadlines.
+ Self-starter with strong sense of accountability, intellectual curiosity, initiative, and strong work ethic.
+ Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Oracle/TM1/Financial Reporting systems experience preferred.

**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
