This position assists with Productivity, Benchmarking and Labor Management improvement efforts through education, training, analysis and coaching on all workforce planning initiatives. Actively works with leaders to determine labor opportunities and serve as a liaison to operationally support and link support areas such as Finance, Human Resources, etc. Provide operational details and data to assist department and executive leadership with the decision making process.Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job
Support bi-weekly distribution of departmental and service line productivity reports.
Supports definition and refinement of Units of Service (UOS) measures and productive hours per units of service targets.
Supports department leaders with training, education and support of productivity systems. Provide reports to ensure they are able to interpret metrics such as Overtime %, Agency %, etc.
Develop all materials utilized for monthly productivity council labor review and analysis utilized in labor decisions by position control committee.
Assist with the annual budgeting process as it relates to facility labor needs and exception requests by communicating the target and benchmarking expectations with each department.
Partner with financial planning team on month-end analysis associated with labor variances.
Partner with revenue integrity team on charge capture opportunities impacting UOS measures supporting training needs as necessary.
Develop and manage policies and procedure manuals associated with labor management process.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience Required
5 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with labor management concepts including productive hours per units of service targets and staffing ratios commonly utilized in healthcare setting.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in leveraging Excel, Word, PowerPoint for operational and financial analysis, modeling, and performance improvement monitoring.
Experience with Vena and/or Tableau preferred.
Experience with report and dashboard development preferred.
Experience with financial planning cycles preferred.
