About the Team

The WED team supports the division's employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); leadership and staff development; and internal division communication programs.

About the Role

The intern will assist senior members of the Workforce Engagement and Development (WED) team with a variety of projects aimed at deepening staff engagement and enhancing the division culture to ensure an inclusive workplace experience for all. The intern will have the opportunity to learn and work across all functional areas of the team, performing a variety of assignments. Agility, curiosity, and the ability to toggle between multiple projects simultaneously are key.

Specific projects/assignments may include:

• Conducting research to identify best practices, tips and resources to inform the development of various team initiatives

• Developing and curating content for the division's Inclusive Workplace and Hybrid Hub websites

• Writing and editing content for publication in division newsletters and other communication vehicles

• Compiling and/or analyzing data to prepare dashboards, briefings, and reports for organization leaders

• Providing planning and logistics support for training or other events aimed at fostering staff connection

Education Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in an Industrial Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Data Analytics, or another related field of study.Interested in Human Capital Management, HR development, Human Capital Analytics/TechnologyGraduate level degree is preferred.

The intern will join the Data Architecture, Technology, and Analytics (DATA) section to assist members with a variety of projects aimed at modernizing the Research Statistics division’s data environment. The intern will have the opportunity to learn and work across all functional areas of the team, performing a variety of assignments. Agility, curiosity, and the ability to toggle between multiple projects simultaneously are key.

Specific projects/assignments may include:

· Developing data pipelines and ML based analytical tools in AWS environment.

· Assisting data flow diagrams and data inventory activities.

· Compiling and/or analyzing data to prepare dashboards, briefings, and reports for the DATA section.

· Supporting the section SharePoint Online site development.

Education Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, Data Analytics, or other related field of study. Graduate level degree is preferred.

Assisting with the Federal Reserve System Federal Law Enforcement Re-accreditation of its training program. Maintaining the Accreditation file system; Compiling and revising Section Manuals/ Database; Performing research on Accreditation/Policy matters; Other accreditation tasks as directed. Assisting with the overhaul of the Protection Section’s shared database including Law Enforcement call Logs. Updating the Protection Section Reference Information book. This book is used by the section as well as other LE managers throughout the FRS. Reference material would be from existing print documents and electronic; Gather all current, historical print and e-filed memorandums and update in proper folders on the Section’s shared G Drive Documents Library. This would involve collecting and gathering emails, reports and files stored electronically and create or add to our Documents Library on the shared G drive; Revise and improve the data base system to better collect reportable data for training requirements with the BoG, FRS and referred to by the Federal Law Enforcement Accreditation Board; Enhance our reportable database program to better record and monitor our ongoing programs and initiatives.

Assisting with the Federal Reserve System’s Law Enforcement Training Manual: Maintain/ reorganize training records; Other training tasks as directed; Attend system meetings and observe section duties. Assistance with coordination of a wide range of administrative projects in support of Federal Reserve System’s Law Enforcement Units.

This is a hybrid position and onsite presence is required.

FR-26 Minimal Qualifications

Remarks: The Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst (Sr. Security Analyst) is an individual contributor position responsible for the instrumentation and administration of cybersecurity tools, appliances, and measures to protect the Board’s IT assets and ensure the Board’s ability to conduct its mission. The Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst (Sr. Security Analyst) utilizes cybersecurity tools such as firewalls, proxies, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, endpoint protection, and data analysis platforms as part of an integrated, defense in depth solution with a central security information and event management (SIEM) system and security orchestration tools. The Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst (Sr. Security Analyst) must understand system architectures and possess the ability to identify security weaknesses that can be exploited to compromise a variety of systems used by the Board. The Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst (Sr. Security Analyst) develops technical products and presents highly technical subjects to a variety of audiences ranging from non-technical senior leaders to highly technical subject matter experts. The Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst (Sr. Security Analyst) collaborates with other cybersecurity professionals to develop and implement cybersecurity solutions that enable threat hunt activities. The Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst (Sr. Security Analyst) provides technical and analytical assessments to support information security engineering decisions to ensure Board information and systems are adequately protected.

This position requires a TOP SECRET / SENSITIVE COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION security clearance.

Highly Desirable:

· Expert knowledge in the in at least one of the following areas: cybersecurity operations, cyber threat analysis, data science principles, digital forensics, incident handling, incident management, incident response, vulnerability management, security engineering, automation and programming, project management, and/or relevant technologies and programming languages.

· Ability to provide threat assessments, recommend cybersecurity technologies for intrusion detection and prevention, assess technical vulnerabilities, identifying automation opportunities, investigate and resolve security breaches.

This position is within the IT Statistics Program Management Office (PMO) unit within Board IT Statistics and is part of the Federal Reserve’s Statistics Function – a national business line that collects financial, banking structure, survey, and contextual information and provides data management services to ensure information is fit for use. The IT Statistics PMO unit’s main responsibility is to provide general support and direction to national Statistics Function activities. In addition to overseeing the function’s automation and business projects and programs, this area is responsible for overseeing the function’s governance, strategic planning, demand management, and national budgets, as well as overseeing the annual performance evaluation process for Reserve Bank Statistics sites.

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst (FSA)/Senior Financial Systems Consultant (FSC) is responsible for developing and directing the execution of the Statistics four-year strategic plan, including directing select automation and business initiatives within the plan and partnering with stakeholders to ensure needs are met. The Senior FSA/FSC is responsible for defining function governance and policies and ensuring adherence. The Senior FSA/FSC is responsible for developing metrics (e.g., on services, staff utilization, and performance) and creating documentation (e.g., strategic plan, policies, procedures, reports, charters, evaluations). The Senior FSA/FSC prepares senior management for representation at meetings, including developing presentations and talking points for use in briefings, or presents on senior management’s behalf.

Additional requirements include innovative thinking, problem solving skills, sound decision-making, and the ability to transform abstract problems into actionable plans and exhibit good judgment even under high pressure or difficult situations. Requires the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels, from junior analysts to senior leaders at the Board of Governors and Reserve Banks. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning or strategy execution, project management, program management, risk management, data management, and communications is required.

New employees may participate in a rotation program that would provide the employee an in-depth engagement with other Board IT Statistics units to develop their knowledge and expertise of the Statistics business line. A new employee’s exposure and engagement within other Board IT Statistics units would ensure a thorough knowledge and understanding of Board Statistics’ processes and procedures for providing services to stakeholders, performing program management support, and directing the national business line.

Remarks:

The Senior Network Engineer role involves being part of the IT Network Infrastructure (NI) team, responsible for overseeing the Board's enterprise and data center IP Networks, encompassing switches, routers, firewalls, WiFi, and optical infrastructure. Candidates for this position must possess extensive experience in configuring, deploying, and supporting enterprise-class and data center networks, particularly with Cisco Nexus Catalyst platforms (95K,7K). Advanced experience in BGP, OSPF, STP, VXLAN, and network design is essential.

Preferred candidates will also have experience with technologies such as AWS networking, Cisco DNA, Palo Alto firewalls, Zscaler, and Cisco Wireless. Certification such as CCNP or CCIE, or equivalent, is highly desirable.

Applicants should demonstrate initiative, self-direction, teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently to install, maintain, and administer secure networks. Responsibilities include problem-solving, outage prevention, aligning business and security requirements, developing technical documentation, and presenting complex data concisely. Remarks:

The Banknote Issuance and Cash Operations (BICO) section supports the Board in meeting its statutory responsibilities under the Federal Reserve Act to issue Federal Reserve notes and to oversee the Reserve Banks' provision of currency and coin to depository institutions. This position will serve as the lead analyst responsible for overseeing the Reserve Bank cash operations and large-scale projects:
• To meet responsibilities to oversee Reserve Banks’ provision of currency and coin, BICO staff work closely with the Reserve Bank cash offices to collectively identify and manage risks. These risks range from cash operations (i.e. staffing, compliance) to large scale projects including the procurement of high-speed cash processing machines and information technology projects. Board staff also set policy and procedural guidance for the cash offices. The analyst hired for this position will lead these efforts.
• Additional duties of BICO staff include meeting responsibilities to issue notes. BICO staff determine the Board’s annual order for new currency and manage the Board’s annual new currency budget. BICO staff conduct in-depth analysis using data from a broad range of sources to discern emerging patterns, address challenges, and identify opportunities to advance currency production, issuance, use in circulation, and destruction. Additionally, BICO staff may conduct research on the evolving use of and demand for cash and the payments landscape to understand how they may affect the demand for cash, and emerging trends that may affect the quality of currency in circulation. The analyst hired for this position may contribute to these duties but will not be part of their primary responsibilities.

The primary roles of the analyst will be to lead cash operations and program reviews requiring collaboration from other Division sections. The primary purpose of these reviews is to detect risks, raise issues, and identify best practices across the 28 cash offices and the System cash office.

The analyst will require:
1. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. The analyst must be able to complete a wide range of deliverables (PowerPoint presentations, formal memos, talking points, informal emails) to senior leadership with minimal review. The analyst will need to determine and recommend the best method of deliverables. The analyst will also be asked to deliver verbal presentations to the team, Division, and System leadership.
2. Exceptional analytical capabilities. The analyst must recommend appropriate solutions or decisions based on strong analysis of the facts and thorough analyses of alternatives. The analyst must be comfortable reading policies and understanding impact of potential changes to policy.
3. Exceptional organizational capabilities: The analyst will be responsible for leading the entire team through the oversight process including coordinating reviews, communicating shared topics, and summarizing issues. While some procedures exist, the majority of the work is risk-based and will require proactiveness on the analyst’s part to determine the appropriate plans.
4. Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders. BICO staff work with a wide range of stakeholders (external and internal). In our governance role, Board staff are required to present Board guidance and work with stakeholders to ensure their understanding and compliance with Board policies. The analyst will need to be comfortable reaching out to a variety of stakeholders at different levels to understand and influence on a variety of topics. The analyst will be expected to build and maintain working relationships with key partners to successfully execute ongoing oversight activities and delivery feedback.

Some travel will be required. A writing sample/exercise may be requested.

This role is located in Washington DC and will require relocation and on-site presence via a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend a minimum of 6 days per month onsite.Relocation assistance is available.
