This is a full-time role for a Financial Planning Analyst (APAC) at Smurfit Westrock based in North Richmond, NSW.
The Financial Planning Analyst will be responsible for tasks such as financial planning, budgeting & forecasting, financial modeling, and utilizing analytical skills to support financial decisions. Your key objective in this role is to provide and communicate strategic financial information to our Leadership Team at Smurift Westrock and our APAC team via analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
Development of models to manage budgeting, forecasts, capital investment appraisal, business case building, and long-term planning. Identify trends and provide recommendations for business improvement, including customer and product profitability analysis, actual versus budget, forecast and prior year for sales and margin performance, free cash flow, and working capital performance.Gathering data and insights for decision making. Establishing and refining necessary processes for forecasting, budgeting, analyzing, and reporting.Preparation and presentation of financial reports to Senior Management, highlighting key findings and recommendations within strict deadlinesDevelopment and tracking of key financial performance indicators
The successful applicant will possess the following:
Accounting / Finance Degree and CPA /CMA / CIMA/CA qualification5+ years in FP&A roleManufacturing experienceERP & Hyperion experience preferredFinancial Planning, Finance skillsAnalytical Skills and Financial ModelingBudgeting & Forecasting experienceStrong proficiency in Excel and financial softwareExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
