Job Description The Senior Financial Systems Analyst develops and maintains the architecture of the reporting systems in the ERP and Workday Adaptive Planning and oversees the daily/weekly/periodic/quarterly report processing from these systems. The individual will support configuration, report development, create business processes and troubleshoot technical issues. The Senior Financial Systems Analyst works closely with Finance to improve processes and leverage the technological capabilities of the ERP and Workday Adaptive Planning to maximize system efficiencies. Key Responsibilities · Develop and modify system generated financial reports utilizing report writing tools and queries within PeopleSoft Finance in close coordination with Financial Systems department. · Perform month end, period close, quarter close, and year end close tasks in PeopleSoft in support of period end financials generation. · Detects, trouble-shoots, and resolves system issues affecting financial reporting and system performance · Supports annual and quarterly budgeting process in Workday Adaptive Planning (a.k.a. Adaptive Insights) in close coordination with FP&A department. Administrative duties include: o Developing data-entry sheets, reports, and formulas o User security maintenance o Maintaining data structures and hierarchies to align with PeopleSoft · Leverages VBA, SQL, and other technologies to gain efficiencies in or automate existing processes · Supports continuous improvement of PeopleSoft and Workday Adaptive Planning applications through automation, system configuration, upgrades and integration · Prepares documentation on financial application processes and procedures, as well as maintains documentation to include any updates or changes to processes Education and/or Experience Required: · Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Information Systems · Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Finance, Accounting, or Financial Systems Analysis role · Extensive experience in Excel (pivots, advanced formulas, VBA) · Basic knowledge of database concepts and SQL · Administration and/or implementation experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or a similar product (i.e. Host Analytics, Anaplan, Infor, Hyperion) · Financial literacy with working knowledge of general ledger, income statements, balance sheets, and accounting terms Preferred: · Experience within an ERP system, preferably SAP Cloud Analytics · Experience in budgeting, planning, modeling and forecasting systems · Experience developing SQL queries across various platforms (i.e. SQL Server, Access, and Oracle)
