Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior National Sprinkler Design Manager to lead and oversee our sprinkler design operations across the country. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in sprinkler systems, a passion for leadership, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in fire protection design.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of sprinkler design professionals across multiple locations. Establish and maintain design standards, ensuring consistency and quality across all projects. Design & Engineering Oversight: Oversee the preparation of fire sprinkler system designs in compliance with NFPA codes, local building codes, and client specifications. Review and approve system layouts, hydraulic calculations, and material specifications. Ensure project designs meet budgetary, timeline, and regulatory requirements. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements. Represent the design team in client meetings and during project reviews. Process Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to improve design workflows, efficiency, and quality. Stay updated on advancements in fire protection technologies and integrate them into design practices.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, fire protection, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 7 years of experience in sprinkler design, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire protection codes. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or HydraCAD. Experience with hydraulic calculations and system layout.

Preferred:

NICET Level III or IV certification in Water-Based Systems Layout. Experience managing multi-location teams or projects. Strong project management skills, including budget and timeline oversight.
