The Boeing Company is currently seeking a SeniorFire Training Officer to join the team in Seattle, WA.
The Boeing Fire Department is the world’s largest Industrial fire department. Boeing firefighters provide a safe working environment and are ready to respond to emergencies and disasters at our Boeing sites. The Boeing Puget Sound area has a diverse footprint with fire services supporting five sites. Auburn and Puyallup, Washington sites support fabrication. Everett, Washington hosts 747, 767, 777, & 787 aircraft production and customer delivery. Renton, Washington hosts 737 aircraft production while Seattle, Washington supports 737 deliveries and new aircraft derivative flight tests.
Position Responsibilities:
Produce outlines, subject matter, conducts research, uses office applications for the training purposes and identifies key equipment necessary to deliver training
Develop annual training plan in accordance with regulatory requirements, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) requirements (where applicable) and Company requirements
Oversee the quality of training instructors and training content for their site, ensuring they align with meeting identified training objectives in accordance with the competency standard which applies
Coordinate and lead new hire training process
Remain engaged with the Enterprise Joint Training Committee (JTC) and provide site representation at monthly JTC meetings
Develop and/or enhance PowerPoints for all site-specific items: i.e. Aircraft; Chemical Processing Areas; Emergency Shutdown Procedures
Maintain an account of all required certifications and qualifications for site personnel within Emergency Reporting
Coordinate and secure the necessary access and equipment needed to perform training evolutions
Provide case study scenarios and high-risk site scenarios for the purpose of tabletop and hands-on training exercises
Assist Fire Inspectors with providing hands on training in fire prevention
Complete training metrics and identify and inform all gaps to the site Deputy Chief officers
Coordinate flight-line extinguisher safety training for flight-line personnel when requested
Run and disperse Emergency Reporting reports as needed
Run and disperse Boeing Enterprise Reporting Tool (BERT) and Cognos reports as needed
Provide oversight/track/maintain all documents related to State Department of Health Emergency Medical Services (EMS) (Ambulance) licensure governance requirements
Perform peripheral duties as assigned by Deputy Chief
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in Emergency Services
3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project
3+ years of experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives
3+ years of experience applying risk management and mitigation principles
Experience with Security & Fire Protection or uniformed security policies, procedures, disciplines and requirements
Active Fire Instructor I certified or ability to obtain certification within 12 months
Able to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience with Security & Fire Protection (S&FP)
3+ years of experience communicating with management at all levels
Experience in a role requiring strategic planning
Experience in written and verbal communication for interaction in a dynamic executive environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $102,850 – $139,150
