As a **Senior Firmware / Embedded Software Engineer: ** + Plan, design, implement, document, and test software applications and components to requirements. Support software architectural design efforts. + Support the software lifecycle development process including creating & reviewing technical requirements from stakeholder requirements, capturing design inputs, design creation, testing, and continuation support. + Provide engineering support to customers and Bosch field support staff. + Engage with project management on schedule development such as creating estimates for product management, evaluating risks and opportunities, creating development plans, and working with stakeholders of software to plan integration. + Work closely with product management, customers, operations, and other stakeholders to develop and articulate products, systems, or technologies + Work with vendors, providing technical inputs and assisting in defining and overseeing the scope of work. **Qualifications** **Education & Experience** + Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field + Bachelor’s: 8+ years embedded software development experience + Master’s or higher: 5+ years embedded software development experience. + Has experienced most stages of the software development lifecycle process: design input gathering and refinement, design and development, verification, manufacturing deployment and continuation. + Required experience with source code control (e.g. Git, Mercurial). + Preferred experience with Azure DevOps or similar environments such as Atlassian Tools or Gitlab + Preferred prior experience leading software development projects or features. + Preferred prior experience writing automated tests. **Knowledge** + Required C/C++ proficiency developing in embedded environments + Preferred knowledge of Python, especially in automated test environments + Required knowledge of design patterns and solutions for common programming challenges in both high and low level languages. + Required knowledge of real-time firmware environments and development methodologies.
