Senior Fixed Asset Accountant

 

 

OVERVIEW

The Sr. Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for fixed assets accounting activities. They will be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of fixed assets and ensuring compliance with GAAP. They will be involved in the entire fixed asset accounting lifecycle, from additions, to capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.

JOB DUTIESResponsible for the accurate and timely reporting of fixed assets and ensuring compliance with GAAP.Create, maintain, and improve monthly accounting work papers in support of month-end and quarter-end activities.Reconcile various general ledger, intercompany, and fixed asset accounts.Analyze various transactions and identify appropriate account recording and accounting treatment.Assist in implementing and documenting process improvements, especially related to fixed assets accounting and internal controls related to fixed assets.Collaborate with other departments on various fixed assets issues and resolve timely.Perform generally complex accounting-oriented duties in support of fixed assets requirements with minimal direction.Perform complex, multi-entity tasks that involve research and reconciliation of accounting data.Prepare accounting details and supporting documents for internal/external auditors.Prepare various monthly and quarterly financial reports.Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (Required)5 years accounting experience3 years public accounting experiencePrior experience in a multi-entity organizational structure (preferred)Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructionsExcelled computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to use email and internetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced knowledge of accounting standardsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
