Senior Food & Beverage Manager

Position Summary- ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Senior Food & Beverage Manager at the Tucson Convention Center.  Under the general supervision of the Director of F&B, the Senior Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities.

Lead and manage the food and beverage teams, ensuring high levels of service and guest satisfaction.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.Attend in-house event-related meetings, and relay immediate changes with other departments.Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service is a must.Maintain labor costs and budgetary goals. Review payroll for accuracy and timely submission.Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance to build a skilled and motivated teamManage banquet operations, coordinating events from planning through execution to ensure seamless service.Maintain all Banquet equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance.Create schedules with the Food and Beverage Manager, keeping in mind what is communicated in departmental meetings.  Finalize with Director for minimum coverage and budgetary constraints.Food safety and quality checks in concession stands.Ensure employee side work is assigned, closing checklists are complete by employees and management staff.Works closely with Catering Manager and Client Contacts.Inspect food service facilities, conduct food safety audits and report any findings to director.  Create tickets in Altum for broken equipment or building items that need attention.Departmental Safety- attend or send delegates to all safety meetings, ensure paperwork gets turned in before the deadline.  Food Safety in Concessions, ensuring proper hot holding documentation. Oversees the cleanliness of all FOH Operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities Manages FB Staff, Banquets, Concessions workers, assists Chefs in supervision of kitchen staff as needed.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with SMG’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience  

Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Food & Beverage Management or related field a PlusMinimum 3 years’ experience in management level position in Food & Beverage or training or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrior supervisory experience preferred

Skills and Abilities

Excellent organizational and planning skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong customer service orientationWork with limited supervision and can interact with all levels of staff including management.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.

Computer Skills   

 To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
