We are looking for a Senior Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to setup a food safety and quality programs at a meat distribution company. This position offers a path to a Director role overseeing multiple locations across the Midwest as the company continues its rapid expansion.

As the Senior Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager, your focus will be on strengthening food safety programs, maintaining compliance, and improving operational processes to support ongoing business expansion.

Manage and expand the USDA food safety and quality team, hiring and mentoring staff as the company scales. Ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, SQF, and other regulatory food safety standards, maintaining necessary certifications and documentation. Develop and refine food safety and quality programs, leveraging data and technology to improve efficiency and compliance. Work closely with operations and distribution teams to integrate food safety procedures into daily workflows. Oversee training programs to ensure all employees understand and follow food safety protocols. Lead internal and external audits, working with regulatory agencies and third-party auditors to maintain compliance. Analyze food safety data and trends, implementing corrective actions to reduce risks and improve product integrity. Requirements BS/BA in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or a related science field preferred. 5+ years of experience in food safety and quality assurance leadership, specifically in meat distribution, RTE or USDA-regulated environments. HACCP and PCQI certifications are required. Experience developing and improving food safety programs while effectively managing teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive continuous improvement.
