The Senior Analyst, FP&A is a key contributor in the Finance organization who helps transform GRAIL’s strategy and long-term vision into financial plans. As a trusted business partner to the Software & IT leaders, this role owns the budget, variance reporting, annual operating plan, and long-range plan work streams specific to these groups. Additionally, the Sr. Analyst supports investment decisions for Software resourcing, IT, SaaS, and other key initiatives through business case analysis to ensure continued success of these functions.
This position will report to the Associate Director, FP&A on a dynamic Finance team with high visibility to senior leaders within Finance as well as senior and executive leaders in the Software & IT organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FP&A, deep understanding of financial concepts to provide guidance to business partners through clear communication.
This is a hybrid role, Tuesdays and Thursdays onsite
Responsibilities Drive the annual operating plan and quarterly forecast update processes for departmental spend to ensure accuracy of financial projectionsCommunicate budget variance drivers and investment activity insights to Technology & Software leadership through monthly reportingUnderstand GRAIL’s SaaS environment and partner with IT to develop strategies to drive efficiencies in our purchased software stackUnderstand GRAIL’s cloud infrastructure and partner with Software to reduce cloud computing costs Understand GRAIL’s physical networking infrastructure and partner with IT to develop sound long term scaling strategiesCollaborate with FP&A and Technology & Software leadership to ensure Long-Range Plan aligns with functional and company goalsProvide financial analysis to support executive decision making on Software resourcing, IT, SaaS, and other Technology investmentsPrepare presentations for budget, forecast, and business case analysisPreferred Qualifications5 + years’ experience in Finance or Business Analysis or combination of BS/BA degree with relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Life Science-related, or Business-relatedPrior experience in Diagnostic/Life Science industries necessary to be successful in role. Experience with Software or IT a bonusProven teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills requiredAbility to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, ambiguous environmentExperience building business case analyses and delivering presentations to senior managementExperience with Google Suite or other cloud based office programs.Start-up experience in a high-growth organization, a plus.Versatility, collaboration, and flexibility are critical characteristics of the role in order to ensure coverage planning across the FP&A Team.Demonstrated commitment to GRAIL’s core values of Embrace Change, Solve Problems Together, Think BIG!, Be Courageous, and Bring an Open Mind.The expected full time annual base pay scale for this position is 102-128k.
