FIT Notification & Messaging Services Engineering is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to assist with platform development in Java, SQL and Angular. This role also analyzes existing systems and makes design recommendations to project teams for direction on implementation or takes accountability for implementation based on priorities.
Notification & Messaging Services is a dynamic group that handles development and engineering solutions across several technologies and delivers strategic solutions that scan across and are used by multiple business units. In this role you will develop services, frameworks, and sites to enable these solutions or provide monitor applications of these solutions for our customers.
Notifications & Messaging Services delivers a suite of capabilities to enable effective delivery and management of notification & messages to Retail & Institutional customers within Fidelity Investments.
The Purpose of Your RoleWe are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer with the passion to be an integral part of crafting and developing applications and make contributions throughout the Software Development Lifecycle covering defining and delivering new capabilities, improvements, maintenance, and providing support.
The role involves continuous collaboration with users, engagement with business partners and an iterative understanding of the platform to build well written requirements following Fidelity standard methodologies.
The role requires creation and maintenance of complex SQL queries, stored procedures, to facilitate device management, subscriptions & onboarding, to on-prem and cloud-based solutions.
You must demonstrate a propensity for detail and a willingness to learn the group’s product roadmap and take ownership for the overall product quality.
You will also be responsible for taking an active role in partnering with others to refine the product backlog in readiness to expedite development and delivery.
