Senior Full Stack Engineer - Customer Profile Data

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build, maintain, and modernize the API and database layers of our Unified Customer Profile (UCP) platform. UCP is an enterprise-wide real-time customer 360 data platform. You will also apply a variety of cloud-native (AWS and Snowflake) technologies to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. This position is a critical element to delivering Fidelity’s promise of creating the best customer experiences in financial services.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or closely related)5+ years of experience in application and REST API development using JavaProven experience architecting and writing microservices with JavaJava application development experience using Dropwizard or Springboot frameworkStrong in managing API to database connection management using different database drivers - Relational Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elastic search, Graph DB, etc.)Hands-on knowledge of Messaging Technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, SQS)Experience with DevOps or CI/CD Pipelines using Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, Stash, Ansible, etc.Experience in managing high volume customer-facing application traffic for the API’sExperience in containerizing the API using docker or Kubernetes.Knowledge of how to develop highly scalable distributed systems using Open-Source technologiesGood in interpreting design and integration patterns to develop and deliver with high qualityExcellent written and oral communication skills needed for agile teamAbility to deal with ambiguity and work in fast paced environmentSolid experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM)Ability to validate, monitor, and solve issues during development, testing, or in production.Good understanding of cloud-native architectures and services (preferably AWS)Creative, Innovative, and Problem-Solving skills are a plusExperience working with Python modules and libraries for data manipulations and extractions is a plusProven knowledge of AWS via Associate, Professional, or Specialty Certification(s) a big plus
