A bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience practicing and advocating for clean code principles, including test-driven development (TDD), self-documenting code, continuous refactoring, and Extreme Programming (XP). In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 5 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience as stated. Also requires 3 years of experience: building customer facing web applications using JavaScript and Typescript for front-end client development; using Java or NodeJS for back-end server development; and building customer facing web applications with ReactJS, AngularJS, or VueJS front-end frameworks. Position reports to Dearborn, MI office. Company offers flexible work from home schedule, but in-office work is required and individual must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
We are offering a salary of $132,350 - $181,430 per year.

What you’ll be able to do:
Openings available for Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI. Perform full stack development on both user-facing client web applications, as well as server side applications, in a paired programming environment. Leverage modern frameworks, open source tools, and cloud technologies to develop software effectively while practicing software artisanship principles, such as test driven development, behavior driven development, and continuous integration/continuous delivery. Deliver business value through working, tested code across the full stack of technologies. Own delivered value through the entire lifecycle, including development, support, and maintenance. Identify minimal viable product and decompose features by thinly slicing stories, focusing on low cycle time and high throughput delivery. Mentor and coach more junior software engineers on principles of software engineering and software craft. Maintain high standards of quality in delivered software.
