Senior Functional Analyst
**Description** The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Functional Analyst to work in our Mechanicsburg, PA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the DPAS mission. DPAS is the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) for over 50 DoD agencies and Military Services. We are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst, preferably with a background in Department of Defense (DoD), who can provide functional and technical support of a logistics management system. The Senior Functional Analyst is responsible for analyzing processes, gathering requirements, and providing functional solutions for software development initiatives. They serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that software solutions align with organizational goals and user needs. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Facilitate and engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, and system requirements. Define and refine business rules and logic to support system functionality. + Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, including regular status reporting and ensuring alignment with project goals. + Engage with end-users and clients to gather feedback, clarify requirements, and conduct demos and training sessions to showcase new features and functionality. + Coordinate with other functional teams to ensure smooth project execution, manage dependencies, and facilitate resource sharing. + Work with product owners to gather requirements, prioritize features, and align development tasks with business needs. + Collaborate with architects and senior developers to ensure technical alignment with functional vision, participate in design reviews, and promote best practices. + Implement and advocate for agile methodologies, identify areas for process enhancement, and lead initiatives to optimize development workflows. + Develop and validate test cases to ensure functionality meets business requirements, participate in user acceptance testing and support defect resolution, and provide guidance on functional test case scenarios and expected outcomes. + Monitor and support the stability of production systems, address incidents, and implement measures to prevent future issues. + Ensure accurate and up-to-date project documentation, generate reports on progress and performance, and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions. + Mentor junior analysts in Agile methodologies and functional analysis best practices. **Security Clearance Requirement:** + US Citizen; Currently possessing or ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance. **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience, training, and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of degree requirement. + Extensive experience in software development or IT, with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Previous experience in a business systems analyst role or similar. + Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements. + Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. + Proficient with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R. + Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. + Familiarity with database management systems. + Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. + Proficiency in business process modeling (BPMN, UML, or equivalent). + Experience with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies. + Familiarity with enterprise software, ERP, or custom application development. + Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with DoD Supply Systems, DLMS processing or MILS processing. + DOD asset management operations and policy knowledge is a plus. + Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) can be advantageous. **Original Posting Date:** 2025-02-14 While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above. **Pay Range:** Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
