About The Role: We are looking for a Senior Fund Controller for CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions (fund administrator) to work on an open-ended unitized real estate funds focused on logistics investments in a major U.S. market, an exciting and growing environment. Contributors in this role assist the Director in coordinating fund reporting by working collaboratively to prepare and review deliverables according to client expectations. What You'll Do: • Oversee all aspects of fund accounting and reporting including quarter end process, capital calls, distributions, redemptions , ensuring fund unit value and units are accurately recorded and other transactions as applicable to ensure that all information delivered to the client and investor is complete and encompasses all transactions for the applicable reporting period. • Review NAV calculations, NAV packages, fund performance (TWR) and financial packages for completion and accuracy. • Review complex portfolio management and incentive fee calculations for completion and accuracy. • Setup and review JV Waterfall and promote calculations on quarterly basis. • Review and provide guidance to complex real estate transactions such as equity buyout etc. • Interact and coordinate with various departments, i.e. property accounting, fund performance team, tax compliance, portfolio management, legal compliance and asset management, etc. each quarter for routine and non-routine transaction updates. • Produce, review, and verify financial information including financial statements for commingled funds and separate accounts, providing qualitative analysis and comments. • Able to work with the internal and external auditors to explain the Fund’s positions on complicated and/or technical accounting topics during the interim audit and year-end audit • Review quarterly and annual financial statements and other Fund reports such Flash reports, Masterfile etc. assist with audit and tax preparation and review. • Perform a final level review of complex Fund level quarterly debt covenants tests including borrowing base certificates, additional draws, continuation form, extension form as required by the Lender and Client • Participates in systems testing and implementation related tasks if necessary • Serve as contact point for client and manage all client communications. • Perform a final-level review of the investor quarterly questionnaires, RFP, DDA, ad hoc investor request, investor audit confirmation etc before shared with the client. • Troubleshoots escalated issues and ensures internal and client requests are handled timely, accurately and with a focus on customer service. Participate in recurring meetings with the client, adding value where needed • Lead a small team of 5 to 7 team member including 2 direct reports, support in areas of staffing includes selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, appraising, rewarding performance, and encouraging retention What You'll Need: To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 9+ years fund accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. • Prior experience in fund level accounting required with real estate accounting or fund accounting software systems such as Yardi preferred. • Proven technical skills and expertise with GAAP, FASB, REIS, IFRS, and regional standards. • Knowledge of real estate terms, definitions, and real estate analytical methodology. • Strong coordinative skills and well-developed judgment. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the senior fund controller position is $140,000 annually and the maximum salary for the senior fund controller position is $170,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
