As the member of the “General accounting” team, you will participate to the monthly closing activity (statutory and group reporting) in accordance with BE GAAP.
You are also the person in charge of accounting from A to Z of certain entities within scope of WEU.
Your Responsibilities
Take ‘ownership’ of the assigned companies – managing from A to Z and perform skeptical analysis on final figures Deliver reliable figures for statutory and group purposes Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable department.The Profile
Basic Requirements (Education, Level of Experience, Language)
Educated to graduate degree in accounting or to bachelor's degree level in business management Knowledge of general ledger accounting under BE GAAP/LUX GAAP/French GAAP/NL GAAP Knowledge on Belgian VAT and income taxes Experience in a similar function: 5 to 10 years Ability or potential to train/coach a small team Language skills: French environment Good written and oral English language skills Knowledge of written and oral Romanian language is a plus.Needed Knowledges (Technical knowledge required by the position)
SAP FI/CO ACCON (preparation NBB/BNB) Experience in group reporting tool Tagetik is a plus.Needed skills (Soft skills required by the position as People management, analytical skills, problem solving…)

The Accounting & Consolidation department is part of the Group Finance Team based in Belgium and has several responsibilities:
Act as a guardian for statutory accounting rules and procedures in Belgium, Luxemburg, France and The Netherlands, but also for the Group accounting rules applied for Group reporting Serve as a reference for complex accounting matters In charge of Group consolidation and statutory accounting in accordance with B-Gaap and Lux Gaap. The Accounting team currently manages more than 20 legal entities Prepare the consolidated annual report Maintain relationship with the external Group auditors Administrator of our group consolidation system (Tagetik) Interact on a regular basis with the other departments of the Group Finance team: Group Controlling, Group Corporate Finance & Tax, Group Treasury.Why Carmeuse?
