Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team in Essen, Germany. As a key member of our engineering department, you will lead and manage complex geotechnical projects, providing expert guidance and innovative solutions to challenging soil and foundation issues.
Manage and oversee large-scale geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completionConduct advanced geotechnical analyses, including soil mechanics, foundation design, and slope stability assessmentsDevelop and review geotechnical reports, technical specifications, and design recommendationsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical considerations into overall project designsMentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional developmentEnsure compliance with local and international geotechnical standards and regulationsParticipate in business development activities and client meetings to secure new projectsStay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in the field of geotechnical engineeringQualificationsMaster's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related fieldProfessional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent German certificationMinimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex projectsAdvanced knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, foundation design, and slope stability analysisProficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS and GeoStudioStrong skills in AutoCAD and other relevant design softwareExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesOutstanding project management skills, including the ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce high-quality technical reportsExpertise in local and international geotechnical standards and regulationsWillingness to travel to project sites as neededFluency in English and German Additional InformationWe offer an exciting opportunity in an international company with flat hierarchies and a friendly, collaborative work environment.
