About the Opportunity 

We are looking for an exceptional Senior GIS Analyst to join our progressive Geospatial team. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing geographical data and developing GIS applications to support our organisation's objectives and to solve problems for our customers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, mentoring junior staff, project management and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities\:

Lead GIS projects, ensuring they achieve quality standards and client requirements. Get creative with maps, infographics and dashboards for reports and presentations. Collaborate with team members to integrate GIS with other data sources and apps. Enable informed decision making with advanced data analytics. Maintain GIS databases to high standards of accuracy and integrity. Provide technical support and training to GIS users. Stay updated with the latest GIS technology and industry trends. Develop enduring client relationships to attract repeat business. *

Here's what you'll need\:

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent.) Significant experience in GIS analysis or a similar role. Advanced proficiency in GIS software, typically ESRI product suite. Experience with task automation e.g. FME, Microsoft Power Automate. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with elevated attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex geospatial data. Experience in database management, including SQL and spatial databases. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the adaptability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences, and experience in bid writing. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, to inspire others and to build strong relationships based on mutual trust and respect.

Desirable Skills\:

Experience designing and managing web applications in AGOL or ArcGIS Portal. GIS system architecture design and server maintenance. Experience with survey, geomatics and imagery data. Project management experience, including Agile methodologies. Experience of applied GIS in controlled environments, e.g. nuclear and defence.
