As a Senior GL Accountant, you will be responsible for the bookkeeping and account reconciliations of one large entity or several smaller entities. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
Journal Entries: Post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred income, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (30%).
Account Reconciliations: Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date (30%).
Financial Analysis: Analyze P&L and Balance Sheet to identify posting errors, verify adequate accruals, and ensure the correct application of accounting rules (30%).
Support for Controllers: Provide and analyze data to assist controllers in decision-making and financial reporting (20%).
General Work Environment: You will thrive in a team-oriented environment, where excellent communication skills are essential. The role demands the ability to work under tight deadlines, balancing multiple priorities effectively.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on General Ledger (GL). Experience with SAP is advantageous.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Training & Mentorship: Ability to guide and train less experienced colleagues, sharing your expertise to build team capabilities.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in all tasks, with a keen eye for detail to ensure the integrity of financial information.
