Senior Global Actuarial Consultant

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Consulting team at Mercer and advise US-headquartered multinational clients on retirement and benefit issues that arise outside the US. This role will be based in New York, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston or San Francisco. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Senior Global Actuarial Consultant

We will count on you to:

Lead client global consulting projects for US multinational clients, acting as the primary consultant and guiding project teams to deliver high-quality results.Consolidate and review U.S. GAAP pension disclosures for significant defined benefit plans outside the U.S.Perform multi-country benefits due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, providing strategic advice on benefits integration.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, transitioning into a trusted advisor role.Oversee the compilation of global benefit inventories and recommend changes to benefit programs as needed.

What you need to have:

International benefits and US GAAP accounting experience in a consulting firm.ASA or FSA Actuarial Designation.A BA/BS degree is preferred.At least seven years of experience in Health and Benefits, Retirement, or related fields, with a focus on global experience.Proficiency in MS Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $144,000 to $288,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
