Your tasks

In your role as a Key Account Manager you will be responsible for supporting an assigned OEM in the rail vehicle construction sector for our Scharfenberg couplings. Your are the main contact person for an important and high-revenue customer and will be responsible for worldwide activities. Actively maintain the customer relationship and contribute to the development of new key account strategies. Your activities will also include building a strategic network and customer structure and identifying decision-makers at the key accounts. Always keep an eye on the further development of the coupling market to ensure market leadership. Ensure the OEM's market share and profitable growth and be responsible for improvements. Coordinating and communicating of buyer requirements within your own organisation to ensure premium support and supporting the global sales organization are also important components. Prepare quotations, conduct contract negotiations with the OEM and provide support in planning incoming orders.


Your profile

Successfully completed engineering degree in the field of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or similar. Solid sales experience in the mechanical engineering industry (B2B market), preferably in railway technology. Good experience in international sales (including contract negotiations) and in the OEM business. Knowledge of SAP, MS Office and business administration. Very good skills of written and spoken German and business fluent English; further foreign language skills are advantageous. A willingness to travel worldwide (ca. 10%), cultural openness and strong negotiating skills round off your profile.
