WHOOP empowers users to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives. As a Senior Global Supply Manager, you will work with WHOOP supply chain, Hardware Engineering, and other internal teams to manage Contract Manufacturers (CM) located in North America and Asia.RESPONSIBILITIES:Own the commercial interaction with CMs from quoting through execution stages for all their cost elements and incurred variancesConduct regular business reviews with CMs to discuss capacity plans, clear-to-build readiness evaluation, and ensure continuous performance improvementConstantly monitor material component market trends to mitigate any potential supply risksPublish KPIs for weekly, monthly, quarterly performanceMonitor, audit and approve supplier quoting and observe trends in actual billingEvaluate sourcing opportunities to optimize quality/delivery/cost/inventory targetsPartner with electrical engineering team to develop optimal supplier selections for new productsWork collaboratively in a startup environment with a high-performance supply chain and hardware engineering teamQUALIFICATIONS:BS degree in technical disciplines is highly desired8+ years of experience in either of the following or the combination through the whole lifecycle of a product from NPI to MPPM or GSM in an electronic consumer product environment, preferably fitness wearables, working with the Contract Manufacturers PM or Account Manager of a contract manufacturer, working w/ their OEM customers, preferably fitness wearablesDeep understanding of the technology and manufacturing process of the Contract Manufacturers and expertise on how the MVA cost is structured and determinedStrong understanding and extensive working experience with Asian CMs desiredCertifications in APICS-CSCP or ISM-CPSM a plusExperience in Arena PLM software a plusThis role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
