Job Description

Job Summary:
Government Relations Assistant will aid the Vice President, Washington Operations, in the following
areas by: Protecting and advancing Elbit Systems of America (ESA) interests, competitiveness, and
reputation in the Washington DC area; Winning support for ESA programs across our market segments
in Defense, Homeland Security, Sustainment & Repair, and Medical Instrumentation; Providing
comprehensive legislative and budget analysis to improve BU planning and decision making by linking
USG funding to potential and existing programs of interest and by tracking ESA priority programs of
interest through the entire life cycle; Shaping USG policy issues that impact ESA by drafting and
promoting key messages and legislation; Building and maintaining relationships with members of
congress and staff that reinforce ESA efforts; Lobbying on behalf of ESA interests when applicable;
Coordinating ESA engagement and membership with various industry and military associations,
embassies, think tanks, public policy, and international organizations

Responsibilities and Tasks

Sr Government Relations Specialist assists Vice President, Washington Operations, in the following areas by:

Staying current on existing and proposed legislationAssisting with advancing Elbit Systems of America (ESA) interests, competitiveness, and reputation in the Washington DC areaProviding comprehensive legislative and budget analysis to improve BU planning and decision making by linking USG funding to potential and existing programs of interest and by tracking ESA priority programs of interest through the entire life cycleAssisting with shaping USG policy issues that impact ESA by analyzing, drafting and promoting key messages and legislation in collaboration with internal subject matter experts and the VP of Wash Ops.Building and maintaining relationships with members of congress and staff that reinforce ESA effortsSupport Corporate Strategic Initiatives and programsProvides support to VP Washington OperationsAssists in efforts to shape policy and legislation to the benefit of ESACollaborates with Customer Sector teams and BD leads to identify and prioritizes ESA programs of interestLobbies on behalf of ESA and our interests when applicable at direction of VP Wash OpsProvides Appropriations and Policy knowledge guidance to members of the ESA business units to help facilitate program successProtects established lines of business while helping to secure and reinforce new business effortsProduces, edits, and maintains documentation used to promote ESA interest to members of congress and the executive branchEstablishes and maintains key relationships with members and staff to help promote ESA interestsContributes to ESA strategic and other significant initiatives by maintaining in depth knowledge of current budget requirements and looking beyond current 2-year budget cycles and FYDP timelines toward strategic growth opportunities in the 5 year and beyond rangeGovernment Relations

Enhances ESA strategic messaging, ESA brand awareness, competitor awareness, and USG and US industry customer intimacy by:

Qualifications

Education, Experience & License or Certification

Bachelor's degree requiredLegislative Experience desired.Lobby experience preferred, but not mandatory
