Minimum experience and education: Candidates with a BS degree must have the minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience specificto the job description.
If a candidate has a Master’s degree, they still need a minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience but only nine years or 108 months of experience specific to the job. The other work experience to meet the 132 months does not have to be IT related.
Work experience while in college can be counted toward the overall years.
If no degree, work experience may be substituted.
Background clearance: All candidates selected will have to go through a Federal government background check prior to being able to start. Generally, the background process takes between 3,4 or 5 weeks. The time is dependent on how quickly the candidate is able to complete the paperwork.
Candidates will obtain a Public Trust clearance upon approval.
Graphic Artist - SME3
Develops graphic materials in support of internal and external communications, presentations, and proposals. Works closely with program management, functional leadership, and technical staff to accurately capture and creatively depict key information, themes, and concepts. Will contribute to communications campaigns, marketing campaigns, and branding projects.
Conceives, designs, lays out, and coordinates editorial illustrations and creative artwork. Develops interpretive themes that convey ideas and information. Creates graphic presentations that communicate mood, emphasis, insight, viewpoint, and similar visual impressions. Provides guidance on graphic technology. Works closely with internal company contacts to understand requirements and create cost efficient graphic designs through available mediums. May provide computer graphic services for web artwork.
Skills Requirements:
At least 11 years of experience in graphic design, supporting business processes, proposals, and internal/external communications.
Skill in utilizing a variety of graphics and publication tools.
Experience in presenting graphic concepts to executive leadership.
Desired skills:
Experience in leading projects such as communications campaigns, marketing campaigns, re-branding, and other large-scale efforts.
