Senior Graphic Designer - Tepper School of Business
The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a Graphic Designer to aid and support project execution in the Marketing and Communications Department. All projects act as the foundation for the school’s efforts to continuously increase awareness and enrollment of our MBA, MS, and undergraduate programs. The Graphic Designer assists with as well as works independently in the creation and development of planned advertising collateral, social media and web assets, and signage and templates; the role also fulfills internal Tepper School design requests that support school initiatives and events. This role takes direction from the Art Director. Qualified candidates should possess a commitment to excellence, a passion for service, and the ability to work proactively.

Core responsibilities include:

Creation and execution of concepts, layouts, and the production of finished files for print and interactive applicationResizing and re-purposing established advertising assets in multiple configurations and sizes.Developing templated solutions to recurring project requestsImplementing project edits, feedback, and revisionsFamiliarity with and adherence to the Tepper School branding guidelines in creative executionWorking with DAM and digital signage systems

You should demonstrate:

Strong graphic design and production skillsExpert application and familiarity with Adobe Express, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign (Adobe Creative Cloud)Proficiency with Microsoft Office productsAn ability to meet deadlines, work well under pressure, pay close attention to detail, prioritize work, and handle multiple projects simultaneously, and understand and follow directionsExperience designing for Emma and MailChimpKnowledge of Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Premier, and Adobe Animate skills a plusFamiliarity in working with video, photography, and animation a plus


Qualifications:

A minimum of three years graphic design experience within an agency or design/marketing group. Proficiency or experience in photography and videography a plusBachelor's degree in graphic designA combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered
