Job Description:

The Senior Group Risk Analyst, RCSA Manager provides a broad range of research, analysis, reporting, monitoring and/or operational process support within a defined area of function. The successful candidate will assist in the rollout of a multi-year initiative to transform TD Banks' risk assessment practices.  The RCSA Manager supports business by providing expert guidance/advice on a range of risk related matters within assigned or own area of specialization.  This position may also support and/or provide oversight, commentary, and strategy analysis in connection to team and/or individual initiatives

Depth & Scope:

Utilizes expertise to exercise sound and expert independent professional judgement and discretion in interacting and communicating with staff and senior management of the Bank with respect to regulatory risk and other mattersEmpowered to make prudent professional recommendations - in rendering advice and counsel to business lines or assigned area and risk which impact performance of the business and overall enterprise strategies and objectivesIntegrates the broader organizational context into advice and solutions within own functional areaUnderstands the industry, competition and the factors that differentiate the organizationActs as the primary subject matter expert and expected to make sound decisions in setting standards within area of expertiseApplies expert knowledge and best practices to implement process, product or service improvementsOversees and/or independently performs tasks from end to endActs as a subject matter expert within own area of specialty or as a resource for othersLeads projects of moderately to complex risk and resource requirements; may lead end-to-end processes or functional programsExecutes on complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, including consultation with multiple stakeholdersRecommends and implements solution within own are or responsibility that impact the strategies and objectives of the departmentUses advanced methods to contribute to new solutions and recommends standards against which others will operateImpacts a high level of complexity in operational/reporting/process and/or analysis function requiring medium to longer term focus. Education & Experience:

Undergraduate degree or technical professional certification and/or5+ years relevant experienceProficient knowledge of risk management, programs, policies, practices & reporting for business supported and/or area of disciplineUnderstanding and experience with various programing toolsKnowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations and mitigationKnowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trendsAbility to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiativesAdvanced skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniquesSkill in using computer applications including MS OfficeAbility to communicate effectively in both oral and written formAbility to work collaboratively and build relationshipsAbility to work successfully as a member of a team and independentlyAbility to exercise sound judgement in making decisionsAbility to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlinesAbility to handle confidential information with discretionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSWilling to consider 2+ years relevant experiencePython or SQL skills preferredHands -on experience (from a 1st Line or 2nd Line perspective) in non-financial risk assessment

Customer Accountabilities:

Develops and operationalizes standards, policies and processes to identify, report and mitigate overall risk exposures within the businessProactively analyzes potential risks and ensures key risks are aggregated/escalated to appropriate areasSupports ongoing risk measurement activities by acquiring, analyzing and reporting business operational or relevant loss dataEstablishes and provides regular risk analysis and reporting on operational loss performance of the businessSupports business with analysis and reporting on risk issues and their impact which may include scenario analysisMay be responsible for coordinating business continuity management (BCM) processes and supporting regulatory/compliance related initiatives impacting overall risks to the business (e.g. CDIC, anti-money laundering)Supports established enterprise-wide risk escalation, review and approval processes, data management, policies and risk assessment processesContributes to the monitoring of Key Risk Indicators through the identification of key risk drivers for the businessMay also monitor/report on compliance, management, and strategic initiativesProvides regular commentary and industry analysis in supporting the development/maintenance/oversight of policies/procedures/practices
