The Global Network Services (GNS) organization partners with banks and financial institutions to issue cards on the American Express network. Through these partnerships, GNS increases the number of American Express cards in the markets, enhances merchant coverage, and provides exciting and innovative new products around the world.Reporting directly to the GNS Vice President, the incumbent will play a critical role in shaping the company´s strategic direction, driving growth initiatives, and ensuring the effective execution of business plans. This position requires a blend analytical skill, industry insight, and collaboration across multiple areas.
**Qualifications & Skills:**
- Proven experience in strategic growth, business development, or similar roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Experience in portfolio management, business planning, and financial analysis.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on driving results.
**How will you make an impact in this role?**
+ Contract Review & Negotiation: Oversee and review contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.- Portfolio Analysis: Evaluate existing portfolios and identify opportunities for growth or optimization.- Industry Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market developments to inform strategic decisions.- Strategic Decision-Making: Lead and support key business decisions, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.- Cross-Department Collaboration: Act as a liaison between Business Planning, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment on goals and strategies.- Business Case Development: Develop, present, and evaluate business cases for potential growth initiatives or new ventures.- Contract Renewals: Manage and negotiate contract renewals to ensure favorable terms and continued business relationships.- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all growth strategies and initiatives adhere to industry regulations and compliance standards.- Growth Initiative Leadership: Drive and implement strategies that support sustainable growth in alignment with the company’s objectives.- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze the performance of growth strategies and make adjustments as necessary to meet targets.
