We are looking for an energetic engineering technician who is passionate about ensuring product quality. As a Senior Hardware Engineering & Compliance Technician, you will build test systems and execute product validation, characterization, thermal, and compliance tests. You have electrical wiring skills, can create application programs in ladder logic, and have great communication skills that you will use to generate well-written technical reports.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Participate in keeping our engineering department, lab equipment, and procedures up-to-date on advancing global EMC product safety, and environmental requirements. Set up and conduct EMC, thermal, environmental, and product safety tests in support of agency and regulatory compliance. Conduct Characterization testing of new and existing products. Work with advanced diagnostic equipment to help validate new components and new designs. Generate well-written technical reports and communications to support hardware validation as well as EMC, product safety, and environmental compliance. Coordinate with global engineering teams, external test labs, and sourced product vendors and provide them test and validation support. Design and construct custom test fixtures, including mechanical build, electrical wiring, and generating Ladder Logic test applications. For This Role, You Will Need: Associates degree in technical field of study such as Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation and Control Automation Technology, or equivalent field of study. Experience with basic electrical system wiring. Experience with a programming language Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Previous experience conducting hardware design validation testing. Previous experience performing hardware characterization testing. Previous experience performing product safety testing. Previous experience conducting product thermal testing. 2-4+ years of experience in hardware or compliance-related field. Previous experience designing and/or constructing hardware and/or EMC and/or product safety test systems. Previous experience with PACSystems RX3i systems. Previous experience with Ladder logic and test applications. Previous experience with EMC, product safety, and/or environmental standards. Our Offer To You:
