Engineering Sustainment & Quality Assurance is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Quality Engineer to support quality assurance throughout the product design and development phases. This role is crucial in identifying and mitigating potential quality issues early in the development process, ensuring product reliability and compliance with quality standards.
The successful candidate will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to implement quality strategies and drive improvement. Your understanding of engineering design and processes will help identify and address early-stage quality improvements in hardware design. This role involves both technical work and regular interaction with cross-functional teams to meet quality, cost, schedule and technical objectives.
This is an on-site position with the primary work location in Tucson, AZ, with occasional travel opportunities (3-4 weeks/year) to various Raytheon facilities and/or supplier locations outside of the Tucson area.

Typically requires bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of relevant experience in the following;Working experience in hardware design processes, including the ability to create, read, and interpret hardware drawings, product specifications, and verification methods.Working experience in root cause analysis and corrective / preventive action implementation.Working experience in Common Product Data Management (cPDM) or similar data management system.Experience evaluating data, use metrics, and driving process improvementsAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer :
Experience in Hardware Design Engineering, with insight into common design problems and potential quality risk areasExperience with product lifecycle, from initial design through sustainmentExperience in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and AS9145.Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.Experience in Risk & Opportunity analysis and Management Boards (ROMB)Experience communicating, collaborating across teams, and presenting technical conceptsExperience exercising professional judgement in decision-making and problem-solvingRelevant Certifications, including Six Sigma, CORE, Shainin Red X, GD&T (ASME GDTP), and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ).What We Offer:

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
