Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Hardware Design Engineer with a strong focus on system design to join our dynamic team at Broadcom's CSG. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the entire hardware development cycle, from concept to NPI production, with a specific emphasis on system design, including schematics and PCB layout, board bring-up, and customer support.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development of complex PCB system designs, from specification to compliance testing, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Drive the implementation of high-speed SERDES channels (50/100G and above) and high-density BGA pin layouts, utilizing low-loss PCB materials.
Oversee the design and implementation of high-power, low-noise analog power systems, DDR interfaces, and other critical components.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including ASIC, SI, PI, DVT, Sysops, Software, AE, and Mechanical/Thermal, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Provide technical leadership and support to ODMs, OEMs, and PCB/PCA suppliers, both domestically and overseas.
Utilize advanced tools and techniques for signal integrity and power integrity analysis, ensuring robust performance in challenging environments.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
12+ years of proven experience as a Hardware Systems Design Engineer, with a focus on system design and development.
Expertise in PCB design tools such as DxDesigner/OrCad and Cadence Allegro, with hands-on experience in schematic capture and layout.
Strong understanding of power integrity concepts, signal integrity principles, and high-speed board design methodologies.
Proficiency in system bring-up, characterization, and debugging of complex embedded systems.
Familiarity with interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, USB, SPI, and I2C, and their integration into system-level designs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $141,000 - $225,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
