We are partnered with a leading Roofing and Cladding contractor in their search for a detail oriented and proactive Senior HSE Advisor. As SHE Advisor you will be responsible for maintaining and implementing systems and processes that are already in place including safety policies and procedures that ensure a safe working environment for all employees, eliminating risks, preventing workplace accidents, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Maintain, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to the organisation’s operations.
Ensure all safety policies comply with local, state, and federal regulations, and relevant standards.
Coordinate health and safety program elements addressing site access, security, project induction, first aid, welfare, and emergency arrangements.
Establish a process of active health and safety monitoring through audits and inspections of site conditions and contractor activities.
Monitor and report on health and safety performance and challenges using predefined leading and lagging health and safety performance indicators.
Develop and deliver health and safety training programs ensuring all personnel are aware of their health and safety responsibilities.
Ensure appropriate and effective emergency response, case management, incident investigation and reporting mechanisms are in place to facilitate learning from incidents (LFI).
Work closely with managers and supervisors to ensure that health and safety protocols are integrated into daily operations.
Attend meetings regularly & contribute to the best of your knowledge.
Degree or qualifications in Health and Safety Management/NEBOSH, CSCS/VSA.
Updated understanding of health and safety principles with proven technical skills in occupational safety and health disciplines.
Significant years of experience in H&S roles within construction, preferably with roofing and cladding contractors.
Strong knowledge of updated health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
Proficiency in H&S software & tools.
