The Lewin Group seeks economists to conduct rigorous empirical research on the most current policy issues surrounding healthcare reform. Applicants are sought at all experience levels.

Primary Responsibilities:
Successfully and profitably manage all aspects of small to medium-sized projects or portions of projects, including technical direction, financial management, staff management, and client relations Design and conduct studies that require advanced empirical methods or mixed quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods Supervise research staff, ensuring that all projects are conducted with sound analytic methods Effectively oversees production of client-ready deliverables Write research reports, interpret, and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences Provide substantial contributions to technical proposal writing Serve as a resource to other staff in methodological or healthcare policy areasYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
One year of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to one year of experience.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in the analysis of healthcare data Demonstrated mastery of applied microeconomics, labor economics, applied econometrics, health policy, program evaluation Experience designing research studies Experience developing research reports and/or research publicationsPreferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced understanding of Medicare payment policy Design and implementation of research projects focused on health equity Demonstrated writing and presentation skills (peer review publications, conference presentations) Understanding of Medicare FFS data and payment policies*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
