Position Name: **Senior Manager, Health Information Management (HIM) and Privacy Officer**

Employment Type: Direct-Hire & Permanent
Setting: Hospital - Primarily On-Site
**Pay**
$80,000 to $89,000+ (depending on qualification and years of experience)
**Shift** _(Full-Time)_
- Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm
- No Weekends
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong **Coding** Background
- Strong **Privacy** Background
- RHIA or RHIT Credential (preferred)
- TruBridge/CPSI experience (preferred)

**Job Summary**
- HIM Leadership: Serve as the hospital's expert on procedural and diagnosis coding, guiding internal and external coding services. Ensure timely and accurate coding practices.
- Team Supervision: Oversee the HIM team, managing all Health Information Management functions, including medical record processing and maintaining necessary supplies and equipment.
- Policy Development: Create and update policies, procedures, and job descriptions to comply with licensing regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational goals.
- Privacy Compliance: Act as the Privacy Officer, developing and enforcing privacy practices to protect PHI and minimize risks. Collaborate with the Security Officer to investigate and report any privacy incidents.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Improve communication and relationships between the HIM team, medical staff, and other hospital departments, supporting effective workflow and compliance.
- Audit and Compliance: Participate in audits for payers, oversee compliance monitoring, and ensure privacy concerns in business associate agreements are addressed.
- Budget Management: Prepare and monitor the HIM department's budget, ensuring resources align with organizational needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive quality improvement initiatives and optimize work procedures within HIM and across hospital departments.
- Staff Development: Perform supervisory functions, including hiring, performance reviews, coaching, and staff development.
