We are looking to hire a Senior HMI Applications Engineer in Norcoss GA.
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Develops application software to meet requirements of project contractual documents while adhering to Inframark’s Project Methodology. Senior HMI Application Engineers demonstrate expertise in setting up computer system hardware, networks, configuring SCADA application software, developing custom reports, and providing HMI training. Also advises HMI Applications Engineers of Inframark’s SCADA configuration methods and HMI development techniques.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides technical assistance to HMI Application Engineers. Receives project requirements and direction through meetings with the Regional or Project Manager and review of the contract documents. (HMI) Application Engineers develop Human-Machine Interface (HMI) application software per the contract documents and System Control Narrative using Third-Party software development packages, such as Aveva’s Wonderware InTouch and Citect, Rockwell Software’s FactoryTalk View, GE’s Proficy iFIX, Trihedral’s VTSCADA, and Inductive Automation’s Ignition. (HMI) Application Engineers set up the project system servers, workstations, operating system, networks, and peripheral equipment at the job site. Installs all developed application software and required vendor software and verifies their proper execution. Interfaces Inframark supplied equipment to third-party vendor systems via industrial communication protocols, when applicable. Participates in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), when required. Demonstrates overall system functionality to the Owner/Engineer/Contractor including hardware and network operation, SCADA monitoring and control, displaying data, alarming, and historical data collection for report generation. (HMI) Application Engineers develop custom Operational and State Reports per the Owners requirements using various reporting packages. Provides training to operators, supervisors, and administrative personnel. Generates and gathers all required final project documentation. Provides technical assistance to Customers.ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Receives direction from the applicable Project Manager
Works closely with other Project Team members
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 6+ years experience in HMI application configuration, preferably in the Water & Wastewater industry. HMI Application Engineers must have extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft operating systems, networks, and HMI configuration software (Wonderware or Intellution). Good communications skills and the ability to work well with other are essential.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods in front of a computer monitor is common. Hearing within normal ranges is necessary for communication with the Project Team and customers. Adequate vision is needed for using a computer monitor. Lifting of computer servers, workstations, and peripherals is expected. Good manual dexterity for setting up computer equipment and attaching associated cables.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The job is performed both indoors at Inframark’s office or a remote office (if directed) and at the job-site. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor. This job includes the potential of working irregular hours with on-call availability to troubleshoot project startup and warranty problems.
TRAVEL:
Travel is required on a regular basis to start up, test, and demonstrate Inframark supplied SCADA monitoring and control systems.
